Sydney - Winter in the city

Day 2  Rainy, Windy, 5th June 2016
Day 1 excitement to explore Sydney still kicks within even though few of us were so tipsy from uncle's hospitality but we still need to return back to the apartment.
I woke up a few times in the middle of the night, looked at the time, it was only 4am (sydney time, 2 hours ahead, SG is 2am). Forcing myself to back to sleep, I was sleeping near the window, kept hearing the creepy wind howls. The wind was so strong that I could hear it hitting the balcony door in the living room, just like in the horror movies, with the door open and shut as if someone is trying to open the door. Clips from those horror films started flashing in my head, flashes of the clips from "Conjuring", "Evil Dead", "Annabelle" and "Crimson Peak" the last movie I had watched in the flight to Sydney. OMG!!! I covered my head with the blanket, forcing myself to go back to bed just like in the films, it all happened in winter, gloomy, rainy and strong wind, worst the wind howls so loudly and it kept hitting the balcony door.
I'm very thirsty from the wines, oh what the heck! I sit up, poked at my sister Chris's cheeks, she just reply back with a snore, ticked my nephew, no response, wish I can sleep like them. Peeked at the window to look downstairs at the open square, it was all so quiet, the shops are all closed, could only hear the wind, the shops was never open during our stay there for several nights. I needed water desperately, hesitated if I should wear my glasses, walked out of the room with my blurry vision (decided not to wear my glasses). OMG!!! I saw a figure at the balcony door couldn't figure out who it was, I said "hello", someone replied "why did you wake up so early?" Oh thank god, it's uncle Andy hahahahha he was closing the balcony door shut. He too was woken up by the sound of wind and the balcony door which had not closed tightly.
Luckily we chose this apartment instead of the 3 storey cottage house with an attic going down the stairs would be even a longer process to go close the balcony door.
Throughout the stay we had left the balcony door open to enjoy the natural aircon where we had to pay for air conditioning back in Singapore. That's the whole point for traveling to countries in winter, we have summer and sweaty throughout the whole year.
Went to the kitchen poured myself water to quench my thirst. We were happy to bringing housewives along on this trip. We had unlimited large amount of boiled water everyday and the kitchen was always so clean, with clean washed cups after we messed up.
An Alarm clock rang at 6am, its a routine for Aunt BH. She woke up anxiously trying to stop her alarm clock from ringing. I sat up telling her its raining and windy, she replied that she hasn't been sleeping. I was like hmmm Oh, ok. hahhaha telling her that I was awake since 4am. Asking her if she want to go for morning stroll around the area, she was delighted and said "Yes!" We went walking around in the windy rain, it was Sunday the streets were quiet. We walked about nearly 3.5 km down at Parramatta Road to and back to Norton Street for breakfast and cappuccinos. The cappuccinos are exceptionally tasty in Sydney, chocolate powder were added on top of the foam, guess that could be the reason.
After breakfast we walked to Coles, just across the cafe. We were the first customer in Coles that Sunday morning to fill our curiosity, everybody just loves going to supermarket. (Coles is the neighbourhood supermarket).
Leichhardt - Norton Street is like a little Italian town, surrounded by authentic Italian cuisines.

Aunt BH loves the visit to supermarket and started telling me about the prices compared to the super market in Singapore. I was very impressed by her meticulousness to the expiry dates and country of produce, that she items she bought expiry dates are a few years longer.

“In the vastness of space and the immensity of time, it is my joy to share a planet ..." - Carl Sagan. Sydney Day 5,  8th June Sunny and cool The gears brought in this trip are Lumix GX7 with Lens 35 - 110mm, iphone 6 and Go Pro Hero Session. We had specially arranged for a private day tour with a guide and a driver. We would want it to be exclusive with a unique view to experience the Blue Mountains and have the day trip customised to our convenience. Our guide and driver came promptly to pick us up at our apartment at 8am, in a comfortable 11 seater van. It was about 2 hours drive to the Blue mountains. We had stop for brunch at the town called Blackheath - an Australian suburb located near the highest point of the Blue Mountains, between Katoomba and Mount Victoria in New South Wales. Penang - Family Day Tour

Travel - Penang March 2015  Day 1 This was my 2nd time to Penang after 8 years, Penang has changed alot since the last time I was there. The Penang now has become more modernised with numerous upbeat cafes, yet its maintaining the nostalgic feel with collections from the old cultures through the streets in Georgetown.  After the Pinang Peranakan Museum, I was very interested in the doors and corridors old tiles from the streets in Georgetown. Hope these nostalgic sights will be around still through the years. Had arranged for a 14 seater Private Van to bring us around on a Penang 9 hours tour, its was very travel friendly with family and no rush as we had 3 elderly, 4 adults and 5kids on this trip. We had paid reasonable amount of RM$450 + tips for our group of 12 paxs (Tip is only for driver who drive us around, food and entrance fee to museums are not included in the RM$450) Feel free to email us for the details of the Day tour contact.
